At Mazda, we always strive to go the extra mile to create vehicles that are a joy to drive. Mazda's fans have been requesting a diesel SUV option and after tireless work from our team of engineers we have finally delivered the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Skyactiv-D.

The Mazda CX-5 Signature Skyactiv-D combines the comfort and refinement of our signature model vehicles with the smooth and effortless power delivery that diesel engines are known for. The 2019 CX-5 Signature AWD with Skyactiv-D 2.2 provides a high torque driving experience and revs freely at high rpms. A sequential twin turbocharger realizes smooth and linear response from low to high engine speeds, and greatly increases low- and high-end torque (up to the 5,500 rpm rev limit).The Skyactiv-D 2.2 engine delivers 168 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 290 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm with rated fuel economy of 8.9 L/100km in the city, 7.9 L/100km on the highway and 8.5 L/100km combined. This equals a driving experience with power delivery on par with the Skyactiv-G 2.5T turbocharged engine, while surpassing the fuel economy of the Skyactiv-G 2.5L with Cylinder Deactivation.

Simply bringing a diesel engine to the Mazda CX-5 was not enough to make it a premium offering, which is why our Skyactiv-D engine will be exclusively available in our Signature trim. This brings together an excellent diesel engine with the elegant upscale interior which includes leather, heated seats in premium Cocoa Nappa leather, genuine Abachi wood trim on the dash and door panels and satin trimmed accents that truly tie the interior together. This vehicle also comes with Mazda's full suite of i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies, an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support to keep you connected to world while on the road.

The 2019 CX-5 Signature Skyactiv-D includes a complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 32,000 kms. This is the first time Mazda is offering this included with the purchase price and finds itself comparable to offers from other premium automakers.
